Katrina Hone is the Director of Operations for Hone Law. After twenty years working as a speech language pathologist, she took the position of Director of Operations in January 2018. This change marks a significant departure from her previous professional experience. Spending two decades as a working mom of four humans and supporting spouse to a busy attorney, she has intimate experience with the challenges that are common in the traditional practice of law. Because of her deep understanding of the chronic work/life misalignment present in legal practice, she has become a passionate advocate for solving these issues. She brings together her experience of working in the medical field combined with her understanding of cognitive science to solve these problems.
Katrina is an avid reader and consumer of information. She recently finished reading Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World. This book is rich with compelling evidence that reinforces the Hone Law strategy of looking outside the legal field to find solutions to the problems that are common in BigLaw. People who cross professional domains to solve problems often find highly creative and successful solutions. Katrina also loves to spend time outdoors running and cycling. She has competed in trail races and triathlons but took a break from racing while Hone Law was in its beginning stages. She’s hoping for a return to racing in 2022.
