Eric Hone is a trial lawyer and co-founder of Hone Law, a litigation firm recognized for its trial-first approach to complex, high-stakes disputes. Since co-founding the firm in 2018, Eric has helped build one of Nevada’s premier litigation practices by combining courtroom experience, strategic advocacy, and a modern, data-driven approach to litigation. Both Eric and the firm have earned recognition from Chambers USA for their litigation work.

Eric is most at home in the courtroom, bringing a trial lawyer’s mindset to every stage of litigation. He and the firm regularly take cases to trial, approaching each matter with the preparation and strategic discipline necessary to maximize leverage throughout litigation. His enthusiasm for courtroom advocacy shapes the firm’s broader litigation philosophy and drives its reputation for trial readiness.

Eric has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes litigation across numerous industries and jurisdictions nationwide. His clients range from multinational corporations, developers, and construction companies to professional athletes, municipalities, universities, entrepreneurs, investors, and closely held businesses.

Eric regularly handles complex business disputes involving construction, franchise, intellectual property, trade secret and non-compete, alter ego and successor liability, director and officer liability, defamation/business disparagement, privileged licensing, and sports and entertainment issues. He has extensive experience trying cases, arbitrating disputes, prevailing on dispositive motions, and resolving matters efficiently before trial.

Eric has built Hone Law’s litigation team around a simple premise: trial readiness changes outcomes. His courtroom experience and strategic approach to litigation have helped shape one of the region’s most respected and diverse commercial litigation practices. Clients regularly turn to Eric and his team to handle high-stakes, “bet-the-company” disputes because of their ability to combine sophisticated litigation strategy with genuine trial capability.

Eric’s litigation career has produced no shortage of entertaining stories, including receiving a UFC championship belt from Dana White after securing a sweeping preliminary injunction against an infringing competitor based solely on written briefing. Beyond the memorable moments, Eric is most passionate about solving complex problems, trying cases, and helping clients navigate difficult disputes with clarity, confidence, and results.

Away from the courtroom, Eric enjoys time with his family, bicycles, dog (Trajan), and desert tortoise (Milo). When not focused on a trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing, Eric channels his competitive spirit into endurance cycling, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
